We can all relate to this in some way.

We’ve all experienced those days when you leave the house feeling like you could walk the runway in your perfectly put together ensemble. But we also have those more unfortunate days where we’re in a rush and only have time to throw on whatever is closest. Your mood may even be different depending on the outfit choices you make.

Well, it turns out there is actual logic and rationality behind these feelings.

Here are some ways your wardrobe can positively impact your overall well being:

Your clothing can make you more confident

When you are particularly loving an outfit you are wearing, your body language shows this. The more uncomfortable you are in a piece of clothing, the more self conscious you become. Something as small and simple as your bra can have a huge effect on you and how you present yourself to others.

Compliments surrounding your clothing can also have a big impact on your day-to-day confidence. Research shows that even giving a sincere compliment gives you the same positive boost as receiving money! Telling your peers that you like their style or complimenting their color choice will uplift your own confidence and create a positive atmosphere. And of course, receiving compliments gives you an extreme boost. When you feel confident in what you are wearing, your peers will pick up on that. When you’re self-assured, you’re less stressed, less anxious, and have a more clear focus on what you need to accomplish that day.

Your clothing can make your perform better

If you’re looking for a way to improve your productivity at both the gym and work, again your answer is your wardrobe! Dressing specifically for the task at hand is more important than you think.
