It’s been just over two weeks off my strict diet. I guess you could say things are going pretty well…besides that ice cream cake. Oh and the cucumber salsa with chips. The birthday drinks and the rhubarb cake. Alright, maybe I over did it a few times right away. It’s hard to have the freedom to eat whatever you want again after strictly eating clean for the last nine weeks. 

After I ate all that I looked forward to, I was kind of disappointed. Because nothing really tasted as good as fit feels. Have you heard the saying “nothing tastes as good as fit feels.”? Do you believe it? Have you ever been so fit, you just feel fit? I had the feeling and love the feeling and totally believe that quote. Now that I got that out of my system, this is when the (ish) part begins.

I have been asked how it’s going and if I am still eating that way. Well the answer is no. I have not been strictly following my diet. I haven’t been eating entirely clean. With the exception of my birthday weekend (and graduation parties), I have been eating clean..ish. Like mostly clean but not totally. Clean(ish) as in I am going back to my diet (with carbs) and allowing myself some cheats. Clean(ish) as in always having chicken and greens ready but not turning down a girls night out.

Honestly, it’s hard to live like I just did for the last eight weeks. I am not sure it’s something I can commit to constantly. Actually, let’s not kid myself. I can’t commit to that strict diet at all right now in my life. But what I can commit to is eating clean during the week as I can and allowing some cheats (as needed). I really just want to maintain my current body fat and have enough energy to keep training. FYI…my training has stayed pretty consistent with what I was doing during my diet.

I did lower my body fat & find abs in the process, all while adding confidence in myself. I knew I would add on some weight once this was over and I did. And I am totally fine with it. I am still confident in my body and my strength. Now my goal is to continue to eat clean(ish). I just need to keep my (ish) in check.

I am still using my supplements and diet plan…and following it as much as I can. I feel too good to give it up totally. I believe this could give me a happy medium. It will help me maintain while I eat clean(ish).
The key to maintaining is going to be the (ish). If you allow your (ish) to get too big then it’s really not an (ish) anymore.
