Quest Bar vs Oh Yeah! ONE Bar

HerSUPPZ Her Supplements 101, Weight Loss Leave a Comment

At HerSUPPZ we carry an assortment of protein options. The convenience of the protein bar is quite a popular method of protein intake among our wide demographic of customers.

Quest remains one of the top selling products but since Quest made the switch to Soluble Corn Fiber from its previous Isomaltooligosaccharide (IMO) fiber in 2014 the comments and reviews of the product have not been very positive. Many customers have voiced their overall displeasure with the ingredient change leaving the Quest bar lover asking, What else is out there to compare to my beloved quest bar?

Here is our answer for you… the Oh Yeah! ONE Bar.

Let’s see how the top two bars compare.
The Quest Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough vs. OH Yeah! ONE Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

Quest’s famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar has long been a consumer favorite. What’s not to love!! This bar offers the perfect calorie snack option coming in at 190.

Total Fat 9g
Saturated Fat 2.5g
Protein 21g
Sodium 210mg
Carbohydrates 20g
Dietary Fiber 14g

Pretty impressive label in combination with the OTHER ingredients list which displays a Protein Blend, soluble corn fiber, and water as its first few ingredients.

With the change in fiber you will find the bar to be a bit more stiff and less chewy than before. Although, the flavor has a way of making you feel comfortable and “at home” which all of us want.   If you warm it up in the microwave for 10 seconds it will bring you back to memories of baking at grandma’s house for sure!

Now on to the Oh Yeah! ONE Bar…DSC_0488_logo

OhYeah! is known for their flavorful bars but have taken a backseat to the ever popular Quest movement. With the change in fiber that Quest recently did, Oh Yeah! is inching ahead as a leader in the pack with flavor and nutritional consistency. If you have ever wanted to try another protein bar and were worried don’t be, this may be the bar for you!

This bar offers up a wonderful ingredient list including protein blend, IMO, and sunflower butter as the top three ingredients. Coming in at 210 calories this is an ideal snack! Listed below are more nutritional facts:
Total Fat 8g
Saturated Fat 5g
Protein 21g
Sodium 125mg
Carbohydrates 24g
Dietary Fiber 10g

Unlike Quest; all the Oh Yeah bars are completed with a matching flavor coating. The Cookie Dough bar is pleasantly coated with a chocolate covering which is super flavorful and leads you to believe you are enjoying a candy bar… but without all the “candy”. Oh Yeah! ONE Bar has not changed to the Soluble Corn Fiber, so they still have that chewiness, and richness we all love to find in our bars. This bar is becoming the new favorite among consumers.

As you know protein bars can be found anywhere, in any flavor, and with any texture. Most likely one of the two above bars will become your favorite…. if not already.

Want our opinion? We like them both and expect you will as well!
