Halloween treats can be very haunting to the waistline but they don’t have to be! If you know just how many treats you can have it will keep you on track and those treats won’t play tricks on you!
We are giving you the amount of candy-chocolaty-goodness that will help you feel like you can join in on the fun this Halloween.
We also want to share with you some tricks that will help slay away those pesky temptations!
Treat: Hershey Minis
Trick: Go dark. Milk chocolate has nearly twice the amount of sugar that dark chocolate has. Dark chocolate also has four times more iron and fiber than the milkier kind.
Treat: Reese’s Miniatures 3 cups
Trick: Don’t eat out of the bag. Set your allowed amount on the counter, put the bag away. If you do not have it staring right back at you, taunting you it will not be as hard to stop.
Treat: M&Ms Snack Size
Trick: Slow down. Really taste each piece of candy as it sits in your mouth. Force yourself to let the piece of candy sit in your mouth for a couple seconds before you start chewing. You will be surprised at how satisfying a smaller amount can be.
Treat: Baby Ruth
Trick: Order a box of Oh Yeah! ONE Bars. Have them ready for those times you just have to have something sweet! ONE Bars come in a variety of delicious flavors and you can totally build your own box if you like! You will be enjoying it even more knowing that you’re getting a healthier option along with some protein most of us do not get enough of.
Even more trickery: Buy a couple boxes and give them out for Halloween Treats! Be the cool house!
Treat: Snickers Miniature or Almond Joy Miniature
Treat: Skittles Fun Size
Trick: If you can help it at all do not be the one handing out the candy. If you are the only one available set some guidelines. Wait until the last couple minutes to have one or two pieces. If you have it earlier it is harder for you to say ‘no’. That’s how sugar works. The more sugar you have the more sugar you want.
Treat: Crunch Fun Size
Trick: SUPPZ.com has a ton of yummy protein powders and isolates that taste just like your favorite candy bars! And if you think protein powders are just for drinking we have some wonderful recipes for you to try!
Treat: 100 Grand Miniature
Trick: They will always make more. No matter what your phantom food is that sends you into your dark place ‘they’ will always make more. Decide that when you reach your goals you may allow yourself the ‘drug’ of choice. By then, it is very possible that you will not crave it as much seeing the rewards of NOT consuming it has brought to you.
Treat: Twix Miniatures
Trick: ok so you probably can’t give out homemade treats these days for Halloween but did you know HerSUPPZ has a recipe using protein powder that tastes just like these little gems of gooey goodness?! Check it out!!
Treat: Milk Duds Miniatures
1 box = 160 calories
Trick: If you are feeling like you just want to jump in the bag of candy and bathe in it, we understand. Stop and think if you are really hungry for it? Go drink a big glass of water or tea or a protein shake. Go grab an apple. Meditate. Count to 20. Your mind is incredibly powerful. No, we know it isn’t the same but if you distract yourself it may give you time before you do something you are sorry for.

Trick: Don’t buy your Halloween treats early! If you have them laying around your house they WILL tempt you. Why would you want to do that to yourself?

I reached 200 pounds after having my children and several things have led me down my path of wanting to be healthier and better for myself and for my family; countless fitness dvds, a gym membership, leading a weight management class at my church and a personal trainer telling me I had good symmetry.
My husband and I have competed in several competitions from 2012 from 2015. Every competition brought more information on how to be better and stronger both mentally and physically.
I have learned many things on my fitness journey, but the one thing that I hear over and over no matter what size they are, is the self-talk that many women tell themselves regarding the way they see themselves. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have the tools and wisdom of the people around me to help women of all shapes and dynamics to help them on their journey.
