It’s already nearing the end of the year so 2020 is coming to a close, but how much longer will we be under quarantine? That might still be unclear, therefore we have decided to help you build a quarantine self-care package to ensure you and your family are healthy as you continue to stay safe, while still reaching for those health and fitness goals.
Essential oils have many benefits to help you unwind and relax. From aches and pains, to increasing romance, these oils will have you pampered and feeling self-cared for in no time. Essential oils can relieve tension through aromatic compounds that are derived from plants. Inhaling them or applying them to your skin stimulates the brain to impact emotions and sensations. Different scents will have different effects. For example, Tea Tree Oil will boost immunity and Jasmine Oil can help fight off depression.
Vitamins are an extremely important piece in your quarantine self-care package because of the current pandemic, you will want to ensure your immune system is strong and your body’s natural defenses are in tip-top shape. There are three essential vitamins to boosting your immunity: Vitamin C, B6, and vitamin E. You probably already know Vitamin C is one of the largest immune boosters of all. But vitamin B6 is vital as well and found in green vegetables and salmon. Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant to fight infection, can be found in nuts and spinach. Popeye had the right idea!
Quarantine Self-Care with Exercise
You may be quarantined right now, but you can still move, jump, and workout at home. Get online and do some shopping (yes, you’re actually being encouraged to do this), purchase some weights you can use at home. Bowflex offers some convenient adjustable weights. Keeping up with your exercise will continue to boost your immune cells, it also fights boredom, relieves stress, and fights depression which is easy to fall into as we continue to quarantine.
Self-Care with Meal Prep
Continue to build your quarantine self-care package by adding in meal prepping as well. Meal prepping will encourage you to stay on track with your healthy eating, incorporating the vitamins we mentioned above and other nutrients to keep your body in peak condition to fight infections and disease naturally. Meal prepping doesn’t have to be boring, jazz chicken up with spices, experiment with protein shakes, make it fun for the whole family.

Faith’s favorite recipe uses 1 scoop of the Cinnamon Cereal Crunch flavor, mixed with 1/2 a banana, 1/4 a cup of vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 tsp cinnamon, 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk, and 1 cup of ice.
