Your basic vanilla ice cream contains around 14g of sugar and did you know the maximum amount of sugar you should consume in a day is …
…yes… should! According to the American Heart Association the amount of sugar you should consume is 100 calories, which is only 25g or 6 teaspoons. For the men in your life, they are a little sweeter, allowing 150 calories, which is about 37.5g (.5g not 1g more, silly math).
I have to say, the “should” part makes me happy, but only 25g a day is not very much.
Along with half of your recommended daily dose of sugar you will be adding at least 7 grams to 22 grams of fat with most of it being saturated, which means it is hydrogenated oil and animal fat. Just a reminder that saturated fats raise cholesterol and is believed to contribute to obesity, heart disease and cancer.
If you think you are saving yourself from all these “treats” by reaching towards the fat-free or low-fat versions, think again. These no-fat, low-fat (fat fat fat) versions contain even more sugar to make up for the loss of fat.
I am not even going to mention the serving size. Really?

PB&J PROTEIN ICE CREAM
1 single container strawberry yogurt (or your favorite)
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
Frozen mixed berries (or your favorite)
2TB milk (your choice)
1TB natural peanut butter or Bell Plantation PB2 powder, prepared
1 scoop APS ISOMORPH 28, Vanilla Ice Cream flavor (but really, all the flavors would be delicious)
Using a blender, combine the strawberry & Greek yogurt and berries. Mix until the fruit is to your liking; add milk and peanut butter; blend. Finally, add the APS ISOMORPH 28 and mix to the consistency you like. Enjoy!
