Committing to a clean and healthy lifestyle is the hardest in the first 3 weeks. This is the time to create new habits and fight cravings.
THE FIRST WEEK
Basically, at this time you will be in a sugar detox. You will probably get a headache and feel lethargic. Push through and stick to your diet, training and drink lots of water.
We promise it gets better and cravings will diminish. Just because you crave something doesn’t mean you have to eat it. Fight through. You are not starving. Hunger is part of the process.
Eating in a calorie deficit will make you hungry. Accept it. Drink water. Have a coffee. Drink bcaa. Again you are not starving. If you want to make big changes to your body you will have to say no when you are tempted with high-calorie foods. Just because it’s there, doesn’t mean you have to eat it. They will always make more.
TRAVELING IS NO EXCUSE TO EAT OFF PLAN
Bring along your favorite premixed protein shake or now you can even buy them at your next stop to fill up your gas tank. Most gas stations now have tuna packs, dill pickles, and even hard-boiled eggs. All fast food joints do chicken salads.
Some people talk themselves into using this as an excuse to eat badly. Don’t. It only hurts you in the end.
How bad do you want to lose weight and be healthier? Isn’t it more satisfying to push through and not cave in to cravings? Sticking to it is way more satisfying and powerful than giving in to the temptation and feeling guilty all the time.
