A good song can affect brain function by enhancing the mood, emotion, learning, memory, attention, and neuroplasticity. If you have ever thought of taking music lessons you just may be on to something!

We all know that a great melody can effectively uplift your soul and soothe your mind but not everyone is aware of it being used in therapy. The satisfying melodies and rhythms can help in improving your physical and psychological health. Starting from the drum beats to the different streaming services available, music has become an important part of life. This type of therapy is said to be a safe, non-invasive, inexpensive intervention which can lead to better performance when working out, cooking or even doing math!

Music has the power of reducing stress. It creates a unique bridge between emotions and will help you to fight the stress and manage it properly. It will not only allow you to go into a relaxing zone, but it will also calm down your body and mind.

Adding music during illness, can drastically improve your health as well. It has been seen that when patients suffering from cancer are provided with music therapy during their radiotherapy or chemotherapy it can help ease anxiety. It can help to reduce pain perception and may reduce dependency on painkillers.

When you see your teenager with their earbuds in all the time they may just be on to something. Music creates a lot of chemical reactions in the body. To de-stress or get lost sometimes you just need a good song. Next time you are feeling any type of feeling happy or sad, treat yourself to a good beat and you will find peace.
