I hurt my ankle running in the snow a couple weeks ago so I didn’t run as much as I would have liked last week. But, I just got back from a long run. I have one long run left, the one I have been dreading…10 miles. There are less than two weeks of training remaining. There’s no turning back now. I have put in the work to accomplish it. I want to do this because I set a goal that I know I can achieve. I need to do this because it’s something I never thought I would attempt.
Could I have trained more? YES. Should I have started sooner? YES. Am I a little nervous? YES. Do my friends question why I am doing this? YES. Do I feel like I am crazy? YES, but only “half” crazy…I mean it’s not like I am running a marathon!
I am going to put on my running shoes and finish this. I am going to have fun, but I am really going to enjoy crossing the finish line. Most importantly, I am going to show my 12 year old overweight self that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Because every little (and big) girl out there needs to know…they are strong and capable of anything! #likeagirl #keepfindingyourstrengths
